About Us

PaediaTricKs is an Occupational Therapy practice that for 20 years has been helping children with their learning activities, including handwriting, reading, fine and gross motor skills, play, development, attention/concentration and behaviour management.

We welcome clients on the NDIS, and Medicare plans including Better Access to Mental Health and Enhanced Primary Care plans (EPC)/Chronic Disease Management Plans (CDM) Team Care Arrangements (TCA).

We provide comprehensive assessment, treatment (individual, group and home therapy programs) and consultation and reports.

As well as conducting sessions at our safe and friendly clinic, we can do home based therapy, school/kindy visits and community access visits.

We can also see adult NDIS clients for music, daily living, social and literacy skills.

Donna Emery

PaediaTricKs owner, Donna Emery has experience as a Townsville paediatric therapist, a musician and a broad range of physical and mental health areas that spans more than 30 years. As a mother of 4 children (her eldest having multiple disabilities) she brings a wealth of personal experience in a relaxed and informal style.

Donna was a senior therapist at the Townsville Hospital when she had her first child who was born with multiple disabilities. It was her desire to make the most of her experience by helping others by starting her private practice Paediatricks. Paediatricks strives to provide individualised, interpersonal and client centred, family friendly therapy. We aim to engage all members of the family in therapy sessions, especially parents, to equip them with the tools they need to help their children develop.

We believe in equipping our clients through education; provision of resources; support and therapeutic techniques.
